Life is so busy these days. Office and business trips have become an order of the day. I am trying so hard to get ahead in my career. I hardly have time for family. It has been ages since I met uncle and aunt and they kids. Thats why I like occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and other family gatherings. I get to see everybody at once. It is a festive atmosphere with loads of fun. Being with the entire family is a great way to unwind yourself from all the stress you go through at work.

The recent occasion that happened in my family was my little nieces birthday party. It was her 3rd birthday, December the last year. They live in the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio. It is a 3 hour drive for us. It happened to a Thursday. I took couple of days off from work and drove my family to their place. It was a great feeling to see everyone together. It is a family of 20 members. I got to see all my cousins who I had not met for a long time. Spoke with them for hours. Spoke about our childhood days, career, holiday and marriage. We cracked jokes pulled each others legs. Those were very special moments for me, it brought back childhood memories.

The ceremony was the best part of it. We started at around 7 in the evening. It was a perfect birthday party. The house was all decorated. Everyone was dressed up. I had bought a beautify dress for the birthday girl. She looked a like a fairy in it. There was an awesome and huge birthday cake. We sang the birthday song while my niece cut the cake.

Then it was the dinner time, with variety of food and drinks. After dinner we sang songs and played games till late in the night.

Such occasions definitely builds family bonding. It makes me know the true value of relationship.
